Easter Retreat: Awakening the Light Within

March 28 @ 3:00 pm - March 31 @ 2:00 pm

£575
“Awake, my dear and be kind to your sleeping heart, take it out into the vast fields of light and let it breathe”  Hafiz
All spiritual paths ultimately involve the journey to ‘Know Thyself’. This true self is completely innocent, trusting, open, authentic, peaceful, loving and full of joy. The awakening to this natural state of being, involves the willingness to look within and reveal the old perceptions, stories, fears, judgements and suffering, that keep us stuck. In this retreat, Ann-Marie will gently and lovingly support you through this process, as well as guiding various meditation, mindfulness, self-enquiry and prayer practises.
The basis of the facilitation will be from different spiritual modalities, including the non-dual teachings of A Course in Miracles, Byron Katie’s ‘The Work’ and Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now. If you are seeking to deepen your spiritual practice and open more fully to the God of your own understanding, then do come and join Ann-Marie in the tranquil setting of Claridge House this springtime. Your true spirit is waiting to fly free!Meditate with Ann-Marie
Ann-Marie is passionate about supporting those she works with to find inner peace, authenticity and joy. She is a spiritual mentor, author, multi-faith minister, A Course in Miracles practitoner and meditation facilitator. Her greatest gift is to wholeheartedly support people on their spiritual awakening journey, back home to inner peace and self-love.
Claridge House provides a space where people of any faith or none may stay for a while in peace and stillness before returning, rested and renewed, to their everyday lives. It is a charming Victorian property set in two acres of beautiful garden in Lingfield on the Surrey/Sussex boarder. Inside the house there are two spacious lounges, a dining room and a library/quiet room. It is the perfect venue to gather together over the Easter weekend, aligning with the spring vibe of new growth and re-birth.
A Bit of History: Claridge House was built in the middle of the 19th century and in 1954 members of the Society of Friends (Quakers) acquired it and opened it to guests looking for rest and renewal, offering a place of sanctuary to those who were tired and stressed, or in need of a quiet break so that they might return home feeling refreshed. Their Values are to embody in their welcome the Quaker understanding that each person is a unique and precious individual. To provide a friendly, high quality service that nourishes a spirit of well-being in all who cross our threshold. To be mindful of sustainability in the use of our resources.
The Gift of Love to Yourself: A fully inclusive three night stay with lovingly prepared vegetarian home cooked food, all snacks and facilitation: £575.
There is a 15% discount for anyone sharing a twin room, which I feel is well worth considering. I have personally found it of such value to share a room, as not only do you get to know the other person on a deeper level, but you can also have a lot of fun too! On top of that, for those of you who are unemployed, on a low income or on benefits, Claridge House offer bursaries. You need to contact them directly to see if you are eligible.

It is essential sometimes to retreat, to stop everything you have been doing, to stop your beliefs and experiences completely, look at them anew and not keep on repeating them. You would then let fresh air into your mind.” ~ Krishnamurti ~

Dear Anne-Marie
I’ve just visited Claridge House for a silent retreat and saw the flyer about your New Year retreat, which I’m very interested in attending. However, I’m hearing-impaired (deaf!) and rely on hearing aids, so I don’t get on well with group discussions, or following along with a lot of talking. So I like as much silence as possible, which is why I’m writing to you, to ask if your retreat would be suitable for me, given this.
Thank you, sincerely,
Jonathan
