Guided Meditation

What is guided meditation? 

Meditation is a way to help us to connect on a deeper level to our inner wisdom and an ocean on tranquility. Many people new to meditation often say “I don’t know if I can meditate and switch of my mind”, but if we can just be willing and curious we will discover our own natural way to meditation. There is no ‘right’ way to do it – but will a supportive environment and guide it can be a very enjoyable and supportive process.

How guided meditation can help you

The positive results of meditation are ten fold, helping to give clarity, peace, calm and an ability to find the answers from within. Life then begins to take on a different perspective all together and the ‘problems’ we thought we had before just don’t seem to be such an issue. Practising meditation regularly enables life to flow and in turn brings about a sense of equilibrium allowing the presence of trust, inner peace and joy to unfold and grow.

The health benefits of meditation:

It lowers oxygen consumption.
It decreases respiratory rate.
It increases blood flow and slows the heart rate.
Leads to a deeper level of relaxation.
Good for people with high blood pressure as it brings the B.P. to normal.
Reduces anxiety attacks by lowering the levels of blood lactate.
Decreases muscle tension (any pain due to tension) and headaches.
Builds self-confidence.
It increases serotonin production which influences mood and behaviour. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches.
Helps in chronic diseases like allergies, arthritis etc.
Reduces Premenstrual Syndrome.
Helps in post-operative healing.
Enhances the immune system. Research has revealed that meditation increases activity of ‘natural-killer cells’, which kill bacteria and cancer cells. It can also reduce activity of viruses and emotional distress.

Meditating with Ann-Marie

You can enjoy a one-to-one meditation session with Ann-Marie or join one of her group meditations.

The meditation groups she holds offer an opportunity to explore various techniques, such as breath work, visualisation, relaxation and self enquiry. Being in a still space allows you to free your mind, which in turn eases the stress and strains of life. It is also an opportunity for you to be with like minded people and feel safe and supported on your own personal spiritual journey.

You do not need to have any experience or have any particular spiritual practise – all you need is an open heart & mind and commitment to yourself.

Apart from offering meditation from her home she also offers sessions for businesses, schools, groups or retreats.

Sessions & Pricing

If you would like a one to one guided meditation the fee is £40 per hour.

Ann-Marie runs a monthly meditation group in Upper Beeding – please contact her for further details.

Ann-Marie can also provide guided meditation sessions for a small local groups for £50 per hour, or for businesses, schools, or larger groups at a fee of £80 per hour.
